The Mystery of the Hidden Treasure

About this book

A forest, an old zamindar's mansion, a few deaths: to the people of Chamakbhanga Pargana these are now the stuff of myth. A murder, a suicide and two sudden, unnatural deaths forced Binoy Mukherjee, the zamindar of Chamakbhanga Pargana, to renounce his home and become a sannyasi. Ever since, the zamindar's house has been a symbol of misfortune for the local people, and at the same time shrouded in mystery. It is said that whoever goes that way never returns; they simply vanish. Four teenagers, led by Rony, set out to unravel the mystery. Against them stands a scheming gang smuggling the treasure hidden in the zamindar's mansion. What happens next comes alive in the pen of acclaimed young-adult adventure writer Mozammel Haque Niyogi, stripping away the shell of myth and superstition...
